What this checks

  • SPF: one TXT record that lists allowed senders. Only one SPF record is allowed—combine if you have more.
  • DMARC: policy at _dmarc.yourdomain telling receivers what to do if SPF/DKIM fail.
  • DKIM: per-selector TXT records (e.g., selector1._domainkey) with public keys.

Common fixes

  • SPF PermError? Remove extra SPF TXT records and merge them into one.
  • No DMARC? Add v=DMARC1; p=quarantine; rua=mailto:reports@yourdomain.
  • No DKIM? Use your mail provider’s selector (e.g., selector1, google) and add their TXT.

Tips

  • Try multiple selectors separated by commas (e.g., selector1,google,mail).
  • Propagation can take time; recheck after DNS updates.
  • For SMTP/banner/blacklist checks, we can add server-side tests later.
